Tennessee lawmakers allow guns in bars
On July 14th 2009, a new law takes effect in Tenessee that allows you to bring a hand gun into a business that serves alcohol. Governer Phil Bredesen vetoed the bill but in all of their wisdom The Senate voted 21-9 and the House voted 69-27 to over ride the veto. So just remember that when you come to Tennessee, you can't light up a cigarette in Applebee's or Logans, but you can bring in your gun. We don't know about you, but we don't think guns and alcohol mix. Governer Bredesen said "I think that guns in bars is a very bad idea. Its an invitation to disaster." We here at Stirrup Nashville share his thoughts and rest assured that we will not allow anyone with a gun to come thru our doors....except ours...
